ABOUT THE FRIENDS

The Friends of the Gulf Gate Library is a volunteer, non-profit, tax exempt organization. It was incorporated under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code in June, 1979. The sole purpose of the Friends is to enhance the quality of the library’s collections and to support patron services.

Since then, the Friends have sponsored such varied projects:
  1. Acquisition of print and audio-visual materials to supplement the library’s collections
  2. Construction of physical additions to the library building
  3. Purchase of furniture, furnishings and equipment to improve patron comfort and convenience
  4. Presentation of programs and activities for juvenile and adult audiences
The Friends of the Gulf Gate Library raise money to fund its work through the collection of membership dues, memorial bequests, and from the sale of used books in the Friends Bookstore.
Attention:  Friends of the Gulf Gate Library

The Friends of the Gulf Gate Library have begun a program of announcing the Gulf Gate Library's future programs via email with a copy of our press releases.  If you would like to receive this information and be on our email list (which we do not give out to anyone), please call me at 918-1797 or email me at wl-kupper@peoplepc.com, or you may email the Friends at gulfgatefriends@comcast.net.  We would very much like our supporting members to receive this information, so that ahead of time, you will have the knowledge and opportunity to know of the upcoming Gulf Gate Library's programs.
Bill Kupper,
Publicity Director
